UKVI have confirmed that the Police Registration Scheme for foreign nationals has been suspended, effective immediately, and will be abolished.
Historically the scheme required nationals of certain countries to register their details at their local police station. As a result of the scheme being abolished any foreign nationals whose visas state that they are required to register with the police are no longer required to do so. Those who have already registered with the police do not need to take any action.
